To replace the battery in the key fob of a Land Rover Range Rover, detach the chrome cover from the top of the device, which is attached to the emergency key. Once this part with the key is removed, pry apart the two halves of the key fob to remove the old battery from its housing and replace it with a new one. After replacing the battery, reassemble the two halves of the key fob and insert the key back into the top.
