Changing the oil in the transmission is a maintenance task that is often overlooked and may not even be included in the manufacturer's maintenance schedule. Since the gears are constantly in contact with each other, it is clear that operating them in a bath of fresh oil, with optimal lubrication and viscosity characteristics, can only bring benefits, reduce wear, and improve gear engagement.

Access the vehicle's undercarriage and remove both the drain plug and the fill plug from the pan located under the transmission. Once the draining is complete, reinstall the lower plug and use a funnel with a hose to add the oil: the level is reached when the oil begins to overflow from the plug.

The spare wheel of a Peugeot 5008 is located under the rear of the vehicle. To remove it, you need to lift the third row of seats to access the fixing bolt that holds the spare wheel in position. Using the correct spanner, proceed to unscrew the fixing bolt until the wheel is no longer secured. At this point, you can extract the spare wheel from underneath the vehicle. Once you have completed this step, you are free to fit the spare wheel. Ensure you correctly remount the spare wheel and securely tighten the fixing bolt when you are finished.
