Land Rover Evoque - Video tutorial
Model: Land Rover Evoque
MK 1, L538
- Years 2011-2018 In this video we see how to disassemble the entire infotainment system on the Land Rover Evoque; we will need a plastic spatula and a pair of screwdrivers. We start by unscrewing the screws located on the sides of the central console: we will access them from the sides, at the bottom, as seen in the video. Then, using the spatula, we will pry off the trim pieces of the console, behind the gear shift, in order to lift them up, as they are simply held in place by pressure. This way the entire console cover will come off easily; we just need to remove the electrical connectors. Now we have access to the lower part of the radio, so we will remove the screws holding it in place: we just need to pull it out and remove the electrical connectors. We will then unscrew the screws holding the dashboard in place, in order to reach the screen. There is one on each side, next to the radio; then we will need to remove the one on the thickness of the dashboard, on the passenger side. We will also unscrew the top part of the steering wheel, in order to access the screw holding the dashboard on the driver's side. Now the dashboard is free. Lift it up with your hands and disconnect the electrical connectors; we can unscrew the monitor and disconnect the connectors. Operation completed.

Frequently Asked QuestionsHandbrake adjustment on Ford EcosportFirst remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base. by ScegliAuto More videos
