What does the traction control button do and when should it be turned off?

In this video we can see the function of the traction control button, and when it is necessary to deactivate it: both on Lexus and Toyota, the TRC symbol is the car on wavy lines, and depending on the model it can be found on the left of the steering wheel or on the center console. The function is to prevent the wheels from slipping in certain weather conditions, keeping us on our way. Normally traction control is activated, but there are cases where it may be a good idea to deactivate it; in this case an orange light will come on the display. But what are the reasons why we would want to deactivate the TRC? For example, if we are stuck in a snowstorm; in this case the TRC will not benefit us. Or if we are climbing a very steep hill, we will want to give all the power possible to the wheels and therefore turning off the TRC is a good idea. The last reason we can find is pure fun: on a snowy day in an empty parking lot, turning off the TRC will give us a lot of fun.
