Removing the Engine Oil Filter

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove any undertray.
The engine oil filter is a cartridge type and is located laterally, between the anti-roll bar and the return hose of the coolant to the radiator; additionally, the cap of the filter housing is made of aluminium and features the embossed "TOYOTA" logo on the side.
Unscrew the cap of the oil filter housing using the appropriate tool, placing a container underneath to catch any oil that spills out. Once the cap is completely unscrewed, you can remove the filter cartridge.
