Replacing the Rear Drop Link

Model: Lexus IS MK 2 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Control arm

If you hear a noise similar to a knocking sound coming from the rear suspension, it is likely that the drop link connecting the rear stabiliser bar to the suspension arm may be damaged; replacing this component is extremely simple, but it is advisable to replace them on both sides: lift the vehicle and remove the rear wheel to gain more working space, unscrew the fastening nuts of the drop link ends to remove it, and insert the new one, tightening the respective fastening nuts correctly.
