The steps to replace the key fob battery in a 2020 Lincoln Aviator are straightforward. Before starting, ensure you have the necessary materials, including a small flathead screwdriver and the correct new battery, which is a flat CR 2450 3V type.

Take the key fob, press the button at the top end to extract the metal key. Using the key's tip, pry open the top edge of the casing (short side) to access the inside; then replace the battery by removing the old one with the help of the flat tip of the small screwdriver.

Finally, insert the new battery and close the casing.
