To replace the timing chain on a Maruti Ritz, open the hood to detach the cover from the top of the engine block. Once this cover is removed, you will have access to the left side of the engine block, where the chain is positioned around its sprockets. By unscrewing the bolts that secure the chain tensioner, you can slide the chain off the sprockets to replace it with a new replacement part. After the replacement, reassemble all the components that were removed earlier.
