The gearbox oil also needs to be replaced periodically, but if problems arise when engaging the gears in the gearbox, it is advisable to replace the gearbox oil. Raise the car and place a suitable tray under the engine to collect the used oil. Open the filler cap to allow air to enter. Slowly unscrew the oil cap on the gearbox pan and allow it to drain. Replace the cap gaskets then carefully close the cap and fill the gearbox with the appropriate oil, the correct oil level is at the edge of the filling hole. Do not disperse the used oil in the environment but take it to the appropriate collection centers.

How to reset the oil warning light on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

If you want to manually reset the oil change light on your Alfa Romeo Giulietta then this guide is all you need. You do not need any diagnostic tools and will be able to complete the whole procedure without any difficulty. First, go inside the car and make sure it is completely turned off. Then keep the accelerator pedal pressed and at the same time press the brake pedal six times consecutively. When finished, keep both pedals pressed and turn on the ignition. Press the brake pedal again six more times and keep both pedals depressed for approximately 50 seconds. Turn off the ignition. Release the brake pedal and hold the accelerator pedal for another 50 seconds to complete the procedure.
