How to Change the Oil and Oil Filter on the Mazda RX-8

Here’s how to change the oil and oil filter on your vehicle: open the bonnet and unscrew the oil filler cap located under the engine cover. Lift the vehicle and locate the oil drain plug on the side of the sump. Proceed to unscrew the plug, placing a container underneath to catch the used oil, and wait for all the oil to drain before refitting the plug. Return to the top of the engine bay, unscrew the oil filter, and replace it. Finally, refill the system with the new specific lubricant.
