Replacing Engine Oil and Oil Filter

Model: Mazda Rx 8 MK 1 - Years 2003-2012

Lift the vehicle using appropriate car ramps and unscrew the drain plug of the oil sump located on the side, collecting the used oil in a suitable container. Next, replace the oil filter cartridge located at the rear, behind the air filter housing: it is preferable to use the appropriate socket wrench to remove it. Then fit the new filter after coating the seal with oil (do not exceed the tightening torque) and fill the engine with new oil according to the quantities and SAE specifications indicated in the user and maintenance manual.
