Removing the Rear Bumper

Model: Mazda 6 GG, MK 1 - Years 2002-2008

Open the rear hatch; unclip the retaining clips that connect the wheel arches to the bumper edge; unscrew the bumper fixing screw to the rear wing (located right next to the front edge of the bumper) and detach the bumper from the wing by pulling it outwards. From inside the boot, unclip the trim carpet to access the removal of the rear lights; once removed, take out the bumper fixing clips (one is a push-fit and the other is screwed); additional push-fit clips are located along the lower edge of the bumper. At this point, the bumper can be removed.
