Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement

Lift the car on the ramp to access the relevant components. The necessary tools are a ratchet spanner, a set of fixed spanners, a special tool for removing the filter, and a large container for collecting the oil. Position the container under the engine to catch the oil. Unscrew the oil cap on the sump and let it drain.

Use the special tool to unscrew the filter and remove the cartridge. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one and refit the filter.

Also replace the copper washer on the oil cap and the one on the filter. Close the oil cap, refit the oil filter, and top up with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick.

Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to the appropriate collection centres.
