How to Replace the Spark Plugs on a Mazda MX5 NC

Model: Mazda Mx 5 MK 3, NC - Years 2005-2015

Before starting, lift the bonnet to allow access to the engine. Once done, disconnect the connectors from the 4 spark plug leads. Then, unscrew the 8 mm bolts that secure the leads, allowing you to remove them from their seats. Using a 16 mm spark plug socket, unscrew the spark plugs from the cylinder head. After removing all 4 spark plugs, before installing the new ones, apply a sealant to their threads to ensure the cylinder compression is not compromised. After applying the sealant, insert the new spark plugs into their seats and screw them in using the same 16 mm socket you used earlier, repeating this process for all 4 spark plugs. Once you have finished installing the new spark plugs, simply insert and secure the leads, then reconnect the connectors, and you will be done.
