Engine oil and oil filter replacement

Lift the car and secure it with appropriate supports to prevent it from falling. Obtain the correct oil for your vehicle type. The necessary tools are a ratchet spanner, a set of fixed spanners, a special tool for removing the filter, and a large container for collecting the oil. Position the container under the engine to collect the oil. Unscrew the oil cap on the sump and allow it to drain. Using the special tool, unscrew the filter and remove the cartridge. Replace the used filter cartridge with a new one and refit the filter. Also, replace the copper washer on the oil cap and the one on the filter. Close the oil cap, refit the oil filter, and top up with new oil, checking the level with the dipstick. Do not dispose of used oil in the environment; take it to designated collection centres.
