Start by opening the rear cover with your fingernail or, if you can't, use a screwdriver. Once removed, you will extract the metal key used in emergencies. Now, using the screwdriver, leverage to open the cover that conceals the battery. You can remove it and replace it with a new CR 2025 3V battery, like the original provided by Mazda.
