Installing a Newly Purchased Stereo

Model: Mazda Mpv LW - Years 1999-2006
Part: Car stereo

To start, you will need three items: the new stereo, the plastic fascia where the radio will be inserted, and the radio itself. Begin at the dashboard where the radio is located, remove the screws above the speedometer, and using a plastic card, pry underneath the radio and to the left of the steering wheel to remove the entire plastic mask, being careful not to break it. Remove the screws securing the radio and take it out, disconnecting the power cables. Now take the new cables and connect the red part to the white plastic piece inside the radio, then slide the new piece into the radio base, connecting the other end of the cables to the radio, secure it with screws, and insert the stereo. Turn on the ignition and you will see it works, set the stereo according to your preferences, and finally reattach the entire plastic mask of the dashboard that you removed earlier.
