To replace the remote key battery on the Mazda 3, slide the key out from the top of the device: once removed, you can leverage inside the groove that separates the two halves of the remote. Once opened, you can detach the circular battery cover, extracting the battery from its housing. After the device has been removed, insert the new replacement part, close the remote, and check that it functions correctly.
