How do you replace the rear brake pads on the Mazda RX-8?

The replacement of the rear brake pads on the Mazda RX-8 is done by lifting the car with a jack or a lift, so that the bolts securing the corresponding wheel can be unscrewed. The wheel can then be removed, allowing access to the components at the back: the brake caliper must be detached from its rotor by loosening the securing bolts. The pads inside can then be removed and replaced with new ones; after the replacement, the caliper and corresponding wheel can be reinstalled.
