The maintenance light illuminates on the instrument cluster of your first-generation 2016 Mazda CX-5 when it's time for a regular service. If it remains on after servicing, you must reset it manually using the following procedure. First, turn on the ignition and use the central infotainment system. Select the "Applications" option, then scroll down and press "Maintenance". Enter "Oil change" and proceed to reset the engine oil light.
