After positioning the car's wheels straight, remove the key from the ignition and engage the handbrake for added safety. Next, open the bonnet and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

Then, remove the power steering by taking out the screws. Once the steering column cover is removed and the two connectors at the top are disengaged, the job will be complete and you can proceed to remove the steering wheel.
