How to Fix the Airbag Cable Connector

Model: Mazda 3 MK 2, BL - Years 2009-2013

First, locate the connectors attached to the cables that need replacing. Take the new connector and open it using a screwdriver. Pry it open and remove the yellow part of the connector. Still using a screwdriver, unlock the side of the connector to open it and position the appropriate cables. Before doing this, replace the piece at the end of the cables using a knife and pliers. Finally, place the cables into the connector and reassemble it. Take the new airbag and connect the cables to it. Reposition the new airbag in its place. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Mazda 3.
