Removing the rear bumper is a very straightforward task that you can do yourself. To remove the bumper from the Mazda 2, first, unclip the plastic clips protecting the screws.

Then, unscrew all the lower screws using an 8 mm spanner. Once the lower screws are removed, unscrew the side screws and then the upper screws using the 8 mm spanner.

After all screws are removed, you can unclip the bumper by detaching the sides first and then the central part. Once the rear bumper is removed, you can carry out any maintenance you need on your vehicle without any issues.
