How to Reset the Trip Odometer on Mercedes?

To reset the trip odometer on a Mercedes, turn on the instrument cluster by inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch: once the cluster is powered, press the square button located on the left spoke of the steering wheel to bring up a screen.

Pressing it again will display a confirmation message saying "Reset Trip Odometer?": select "Yes" using the appropriate controls on the steering wheel to reset the trip odometer by turning off the instrument cluster.
