Replacing the Transmission Vibration Damper

Abnormal noises from the transmission shaft may be due to a faulty vibration damper. To replace it, start by lifting the vehicle with appropriate jacks and secure it with suitable supports to prevent it from falling. The necessary tools are a ratchet wrench, along with a set of 1/2 in, 5/8 in, and 11/16 in sockets. Begin by removing the four nuts that secure the mount and the nuts holding the vibration damper using the ratchet wrench. Once the faulty part is removed, position the new replacement and tighten the bolts you just removed. For a more effective job, it is recommended to lubricate them before installation.
