How do you change the battery in the key fob of a Mercedes C-Class? Let's see how to do it in this detailed video. Take your key fob and slide the button to release the metal key. Once extracted, use a screwdriver to pry between the key cover and the plastic cap. Pry until the two pieces separate from the cover, then remove the battery holder. Replace the worn battery with a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the cover with the buttons by pressing on the key fob until you hear the locking click. Finally, insert the metal key back into the fob. Check that the key fob functions correctly.
