To replace the key battery in the Mercedes C 250, follow this procedure: first, extract the emergency key. Once done, use the emergency key to apply light pressure and lift the battery cover on the back of the key. Once the cover is lifted, you can remove it and access the key battery for replacement.

After replacing the battery, which is a CR2025, you can close the key and reinsert the emergency key inside.

This procedure takes little time and does not require specific tools.
