Follow these steps to replace the key battery in a 2021 Mercedes S-Class: -Press the gray button on the back of the remote; -Remove the emergency key; -Insert the emergency key into a small hole and open the remote; -Remove the battery cover and take out the old battery; -Insert the new battery and close the cover; -Close the remote; -Insert the emergency key back into the remote; Once finished, approach the vehicle and test the key's functionality.

If the key does not work, it may need to be reprogrammed.
