How to remove the starter motor of the Mercedes C-Class

Today we will explain how to remove the starter motor on a Mercedes C-Class model W 203. Before replacing the starter motor, we need to open the front hood of the vehicle and disconnect the battery to avoid a short circuit due to power interruption. After disconnecting the battery, lift the vehicle on a scaffold or use jack stands and a jack. Remove the lower engine cover and using a 13mm wrench, remove the motor shaft to have more space for the removal of the starter motor, which must be unscrewed using an 11mm wrench. Disconnect the connector and the power wire and then extract the starter motor from its seat. After removing the starter motor, we can proceed with the replacement of the part or with cleaning the brushes.
