How to Remove the Fuel Pump on Mercedes SLK Class

How to remove the floating fuel pump mounted on a Mercedes SLK Class. Start by disconnecting the battery cables, then remove the rear seat from the car. You will find a metal piece with screws; this is what you need to remove. Unscrew the fastening screws of the metal cap and take it off. Wrap the entire perimeter of the metal sheet with paper or absorbent cloth, then use a screwdriver to unscrew the large nut around the pump (metal or plastic). Disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation tubes. Finally, extract the floating fuel pump. To reassemble, proceed in reverse order.
