How to replace the glove box lock of the Mercedes E-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe E W211 - Years 2002-2009

In this guide we will see step by step instructions on how to disassemble and replace the lock of the glove compartment of the Mercedes E-Class. First, get into the car and start by removing the plastic cover above the glove compartment; then unscrew the fixing screws inside, using a screwdriver or a Torx T20 key, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector of the bulb in the compartment to remove the glove compartment, then proceed with the disassembly of the lock; replace it with the new one, also replacing the key accordingly.
