In this video, we will see how to repair the rear hatch of the Mercedes Vito W639, which, not closing properly, generates the "door open" error on the dashboard. So, let's open the hatch and remove the bolts from the lock striker. The most likely issue is that it may have been misaligned, causing it not to close properly. We will remove the wedges from the hatch guides, which could be pushing it into the wrong position. We also need to adjust the vertical alignment of the hatch, and then, using a feeler gauge, we will check the gap between the rear hatch and the bumper, which should be approximately 7 mm. Finally, we will tighten the lock nut again to avoid rattling noises while driving.
