How to Reset the Service Light on a Mercedes M-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe M W164 - Years 2005-2011

To reset the service light on a Mercedes M-Class, insert the key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position without starting the engine. On the instrument panel, use the buttons on the steering wheel or the display lever to access the Service or Maintenance menu. Scroll to the option related to the maintenance light and select Reset or Clear maintenance interval. Hold the confirmation button until the display shows confirmation of the reset. Turn off the instrument panel, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on to check that the light is indeed off.
