To disable the passenger airbag on a Mercedes C-Class vehicle, use the ignition key. Open the passenger side glove compartment and insert the car's ignition key into the lock next to the airbag symbol; turn the lock to off to temporarily disable the passenger airbag.

This operation allows you to install a child seat in the passenger seat.

Once you have removed the child seat, repeat the same operation to turn the airbag lever back to ON and activate it.
