Removing Center Console to Access Radio

Model: Mercedes Classe E W210 - Years 1995-2002
Part: Center console tunnel

Remove the center console by gently lifting it upward and disconnect the cigarette lighter connector. Move the gear shift lever to the center position and gently push up on the trim and the gear shift cover, simultaneously twisting the shift knob in circular motions while pulling it upward until it is completely removed. Remove the ashtray drawer by releasing it from the plastic clips at the bottom. Unscrew the nuts inside the console that hold the radio bracket using a ratchet wrench. At this point, lift the entire console from the tunnel and disconnect the auxiliary service connectors at the back of the radio.
