Removing the Fuel Pump from a Mercedes M-Class

Model: Mercedes Classe M W163 - Years 1997-2005

Remove the battery cables first. Then, take out the rear seat cushions of the car. You will find a metal cover with screws that need to be removed. Use a socket spanner to undo the securing screws of the metal cover and remove it from its seat. Wrap the entire perimeter of the metal panel with rags, then use a chisel to undo the large securing pin. Finally, disconnect the power connectors and the fluid circulation pipes. Extract the fuel pump from the tank.
