How to disassemble the fuel pump in the Mercedes M-Class?

In this tutorial we can see how to disassemble the fuel pump in the Mercedes M-Class, a simple operation but one that requires good manual dexterity. First of all, we lift the vehicle taking all necessary safety measures, then we remove the crossbar and disconnect both exhaust pipes. We then also remove the driveshaft, remove the tank cover and disconnect the respective pipes. At this point, all that remains is to unscrew the right fixing bolts of the tank, lower it enough to access the pump and disassemble it by unscrewing the large outer ring.
