In this tutorial, you will see how to remove the fuel pump in the Mercedes M-Class, a simple operation but one that requires good manual skills. First, lift the vehicle taking all necessary safety precautions, then remove the cross member and disconnect both exhaust pipes.

Next, also remove the driveshaft, take off the fuel tank cover, and disconnect the relevant pipes. At this point, simply unscrew the right fastening bolts of the tank, lower it enough to access the pump, and remove it by unscrewing the large outer ring.
