How to replace the glow plugs on a Mercedes E-Class? Let's see the replacement process. Disconnect the battery terminals, remove the soundproofing cover from the engine, and unscrew the bolts that secure the coils to the engine head; then, use a socket wrench to unscrew the glow plugs and pull them out of the head. Take the new glow plugs and guide them into the engine head with the socket extension, tighten them, and connect the power coils to each glow plug with the new connectors. Test the proper functioning of the glow plugs by starting the engine.
