Replacing the key battery in the Mercedes B-Class. Here’s how to change the remote battery. Take your ignition key and slide out the metal key. Pry until the cover above the battery opens. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Refit the battery holder into the key fob cover; screw the securing screw back in. Check the remote key’s proper operation by testing the door lock and unlock buttons. If you have any issues, you can disassemble the remote again.
