To remove the radio from a Mercedes C-Class, let's see how to take apart all the trim pieces. Remove the trim ring around the gear shift knob using a plastic pry tool, then unscrew the fastening screws inside the air vents and take them out. Once the air vents are removed from the top, unscrew the fastening screws located on the sides of the radio using a screwdriver.

Pull the stereo out with your hands and disconnect the wires (power and antenna). To reassemble, first secure the radio and then reinstall all the trim pieces.
