Oil Leak from the Hood Piston on Mercedes SLK

If the piston related to the roof of your Mercedes SLK R170 is leaking oil, do not worry. This is unfortunately a recurring issue with this model, but it is nothing serious: there is just an O-ring to replace. To do this, create a 3 mm hole to provide the necessary space to extract the piston, as shown in the video. This way, it will no longer be tightly fitted, allowing you to pull out the piston and change the O-ring. At the end of the procedure, top up the roof oil reservoir located on the right side of the engine bay: it is recommended to use hydraulic oil for suspensions 02615.
