To replace the hydraulic pistons of the roof on a Mercedes SLK, first remove the covers that cover the pistons located at the base of the roof mechanism. Once the pistons are visible, disconnect the connectors attached to them, then remove the bolts: these will be located at the top and bottom of the piston itself. At this point, you can completely extract the old pistons from their housing, so they can be replaced with new replacement parts; after replacement, check that everything functions correctly.
