The hydraulic pump for the roof is located behind the rear panel of the cabin, hidden under a layer of sound insulation. To access it, you will need to remove the speaker grilles, which can be detached with a plastic spatula; then remove the deflector and the plastic cover. Unscrew the metal plate fixed with 30 screws along the entire edge. This will expose the pump, which is positioned behind the sound-absorbing material, with a vent valve accessible through a hole in the carpet. Now check and top up the oil level with the roof fully open. The level should be near MAX; for the top-up, you will need to use the specific Mercedes fluid CHF 11S, which can be found, for example, on racinglubes.it with code 601429774 at a price of £20.32 plus £4.99 delivery. If, as shown in the video, you see that a pipe is damaged, you must replace it immediately; after the work, test the roof's functionality.
