Trunk Latch Repair

The automatic trunk latch operates via a vacuum actuator controlled by a specific pump driven by a motor. To repair the latch, you need to purchase the complete assembly or replace the motor that operates the latch. The mechanism is located on the right side of the trunk under the cover. The replacement is a fairly simple operation: remove the cover and then take the pump assembly out of its support. Disconnect the electrical connectors and vacuum hoses, being careful of their positions. Insert the hoses and connectors into the new device, which is then installed in place of the faulty one. Check its operation.
