How to Replace the Oil Pump on the Mercedes S-Class?

To replace the oil pump on the Mercedes S-Class, lift the car so you can unscrew the screws that secure the oil pan at the bottom of the engine compartment. Once the oil pan is completely removed, you will locate the oil pump contained within it: the pump can be removed from its housing by unscrewing the screws that secure it. This way, you can extract it from its seat and replace it with a new part, then cover everything with the oil pan.
