How to Replace the Fuel Filter on the Mercedes Benz A-Class 180 CDI W176

This guide shows how to replace the fuel filter on the Mercedes Benz A-Class 180 CDI W176. The fuel filter is located in the engine compartment near the shock absorber terminal, under the windshield on the left side. First, disconnect the battery. Next, disconnect the electrical connector of the filter and the fuel lines. Use a socket wrench to remove the mounting bolt of the filter clamp and take out the old filter element. Install the new filter and reassemble all disconnected parts. Reconnect the battery and start the engine to fill the filter with fuel. Start the vehicle a few times to circulate all the fuel in the lines.
