Mercedes Classe C - Video tutorial

Model: Mercedes Classe C W203 - Years 2000-2007
Part: Car stereo
Operation: How to disassemble the car stereo of a Mercedes C-Class

Let's start by lifting the plastic of the gearbox, thus giving us the necessary space to remove the ashtray. By doing so we will have discovered the screws that secure the climate control controls, which we will unscrew and remove. At this point, using a thin but resistant tool, we will be able to extract the air conditioner controls from their housing, and then disconnect the plug. Once this step has been completed, we will have to remove the cover of the edges of the air vents, and then go and remove the vents themselves, disengaging them from their seat. By removing the unions, we will have discovered other screws that we will have to unscrew and remove, and then remove the entire housing of the unions. By removing the housing of the vents, we will have revealed the screws that secure the upper controls to the car radio, which will also need to be removed. When we have removed the upper controls and the relative screws, we will finally have discovered the screws that secure the car radio, which we are going to remove. Once we have removed the screws, we will be able to extract the car radio from its housing. At this point, to finish, we will only have to disconnect the pins, and we will have successfully carried out the disassembly.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
