Replacement of Engine Air Filter

Model: Mercedes Slk R170, MK 1 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Air filter

The engine air filter housing is located at the front right of the engine bay (when viewed from the front); once located, release the metal securing tabs, including the one for the hose connecting the filter to the intake duct, and remove the cover to access the filter. Then extract the old filter, ensuring there are no dirt residues inside the housing (remove them carefully to avoid introducing them into the intake duct) and insert the new filter, ensuring the seal is properly seated. Finally, reposition the cover and secure the clips.
