The car air conditioner is designed to move heat from one part of the car to another. It is like a refrigerator with an unusual configuration. During disassembly, be careful not to allow air to enter the compressor to avoid contamination and compression with water vapor, which could rust the internal parts of the air conditioner. Once this is done, you can proceed to disconnect the electrical wires and also detach the external unit from the wall, followed by disassembling the internal units of the air conditioner. Perform the work with the compressor turned off.
