How to Replace the Key Fob Battery for the Mercedes E-Class

To change the battery in the key fob for the Mercedes E-Class, let's look at 2 types of key fobs: for the first key fob, slide the tab to remove the key blade, insert the key into the slot to move the tab and remove the top part; take out the 2 batteries and insert the new ones; reposition the top part back into the key fob and reinsert the key blade. To change the battery in the key fob for the new version, remove the key blade by sliding the tab, insert the key blade into the slot to move the tab and lift the battery cover, which you will remove and replace with the new battery, then reposition the cover and reinsert the key blade into its slot.
